Here we are trying to summarized the places famous for Adventure sports in India. If you are an adventure junkie then you must try this sports. Please have a read. But here we willfully excluded Trekking and Mountaineering in that list. As this two field cover a vast range in India. So we will write another article on that. 

Skiing in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir

Gulmarg is one of the best destination in India for Ski lovers. The Ski destination on the Himalayan Mountains has even a Ski Institute where people can be instructed and trained if it is going to be your first attempt. The best time to visit Gulmarg for skiing is From January end to March. The unpredictability of the weather is the only drawback.

River Rafting, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

Rishikesh has long been one of the finest places in India for White Water Rafting. Nothing can be compared with the thrill of rafting in Ganga River around Rishikesh. Here you can find grade I to IV rapids. And can do Body Surfing, Cliff Jumping etc. Which makes it one of the most ideal destination for white-water rafting.

Paragliding, Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh

Bir Billing is a small village in Himachal Pradesh is famed worldwide for hosting the first ever world cup of paragliding. The heights, along with the climate of Bir Billing are the most suitable for any air borne gliding sport.

Zanskar River is a fantastic option for adventure enthusiasts looking for a wonderful experience in kayaking. The trip starts on the Indus River from Spituk, where you will encounter grade 3 rapids. A little sightseeing opportunities and camping at Tsarap later, you reach Sutak. Then, you enter a mini canyon before camping at Yarshung. After passing through grade 1-5 rapids on Padum, you reach your final destination is Nimu.
